It’s spring time — which also means it’s “get cute” time (lol). Even though the warm weather puts me in a better mood, most spring mornings, when I wake up to get ready for class, I don’t want to have to think to hard about what to put on. On top of that, even when I’m chill, I still want to look cute. I’m always trying to figure out how I can have it both ways.
One of my solutions to getting dressed in the spring: Skirts and Sneakers. When I was younger, I was never a sneaker type of person. I think I had my first pair of Chucks (Converse) in high school and it wasn’t because I (my parents lol) wouldn’t buy them before then. I just preferred to wear sandals or wedges or something. Now-a-days, my vibe is more chill and my wardrobe is starting to reflect that.
Last week, it starting hitting that sunny 60 and 70 degree weather consistently. I’d been teased a few times by the weather throughout the end of March and the beginning of April. But now, this is the real deal. The weather, at least in Philly, has only been this nice for maybe a week, and I’ve worn a few skirt and sneaker combos already. When I say this skirts and sneakers combination is my solution to dressing in the spring, I really mean it.
Here are some chill looks I’ve already put together in the few nice days we’ve had in the season so far. I can’t wait to keep it going.

Looking forward to seeing your “Skirts and Sneaks” looks, too. Tag me! (@TayloredbySydney / #TayloredbySydney)
