I don’t often touch on the topic of natural hair nor do I often share my own experiences with my natural hair. However, being a natural girl, I pay attention to all the hype on social media; bloggers, YouTubers, comments made by those in transition that have questions and concerns, and so on… With all of the “natural attention”, I started thinking about my journey and how I’ve grown, being natural. Sunday evening, the Philadelphia University chapter of BRAG (Black Retail Action Group) hosted the annual “Talkin’ Fashion” event. As a national nonprofit organization, BRAG focuses on providing opportunities and preparing minority groups for leadership positions in the fashion industry.

The look of a crisp white button-up is appropriate for so many occasions and it’s lightweight, but has long sleeves; appropriate for the spring weather. Can’t Live Without My… Leather Jacket
In the morning, when I’m trying to decide what to wear, my “I can’t find anything” go-to is my (faux) leather jacket. I was looking through old pictures and realized I always have one on. Sometimes I’m wearing the jacket just as a coat, but it’s usually a part of my outfit. Even though I have other outerwear pieces I could wear just as often, there’s something about a leather jacket that makes you look so effortlessly put together, even when you’re not.
